Welcome to the 2nd Episcopal District in the African Methodist Episcopal Church of the North Carolina Annual Conference where are Servant Leaders are Bishop James L. Davis and Supervisor Mother Arelis B. Davis. We are the Sweet, Sizzling, Supernatural Southern District under the guidance and leadership of Presiding Elder Evelyn G. Dunn and Brother Larry Dunn. ABOUT OUR PRESIDING ELDER EVELYN G. DUNN

The African Methodist Episcopal Church was founded in 1816 by Bishop Richard Allen. In the year 2000, the 2nd Episcopal District Bishop appointed the 1st Female Presiding Elder to the Southern District of the North Carolina Conference Presiding Elder Evelyn G. Dunn. Presiding Elder Dunn and Brother Larry Dunn have continued to served the Southern District for 22 years with hearts as big as gold!

OUR MINISTRIES

The Southern District has many ministries that serve our communities. Our ministries include: Women Missionary Society (WMS), Sons of Allen, Women in Ministry (WIM), Young People Division(YPD), Lay Organization, and the Richard Allen Young Adult Council (RAYAC).

SERVICES

Presiding Elder Dunn of the Southern District provides guidance and leadership to 38 churches in the Southern part of the state of North Carolina. Our goal is to lead souls to Christ. If this is your desire, please contact us so we can tell you more.
